Move With Confidence Through Pilates in New Braunfels
What We Offer
Controlled Movement, Personal Instruction
Pilates combines purposeful movement, focused breathing, and precise technique to build strength, improve mobility, and develop greater awareness of how your body moves. This low-impact method places greater emphasis on control than speed, and personalized instruction is available in person at Adoration’s wellness practice in New Braunfels.
Why People Consider Pilates
A More Responsive Core
Pilates teaches the muscles around the trunk, hips, pelvis, and spine to work together while the arms and legs move.
Balance Through Awareness
Controlled exercises lying down, seated, kneeling, or standing help you notice where your weight is placed and how your body responds.
Mobility You Can Control
Rather than forcing a deeper stretch, you learn to move within a range you can manage with good alignment.
Posture Without Pressure
Greater awareness of your head, shoulders, rib cage, pelvis, and spine can help you move between positions with greater ease.
What the Pilates Session Involves
Pilates appointments are held in person at Adoration’s wellness setting in New Braunfels. Before you begin, the instructor may ask about your exercise history, goals, injuries, health concerns, and movements that currently feel difficult.
Goals and Experience
Your first visit may include a conversation about your goals and experience.
Breathing and Positioning
You may be introduced to Pilates breathing and positioning, then foundational movements to observe comfort and control.
Adjusted to Your Ability
Movements can be adjusted by changing the range, position, resistance, pace, or level of support, with clear feedback on alignment and technique.
Effort, Not Sharp Pain
Muscular effort or mild fatigue can be expected; sharp pain, dizziness, numbness, or worsening symptoms should be reported immediately.
Safety Note: Although Pilates is generally low impact, it is still exercise and places physical demands on the body. Speak with an appropriate healthcare professional before participating when you have a recent surgery or injury; severe or unexplained pain; new weakness, tingling, or numbness; significant balance difficulties; exercise restrictions; uncontrolled heart or blood pressure concerns; pregnancy-related precautions; or a condition that may be affected by physical activity. Pilates should not replace physical therapy, medical evaluation, or rehabilitation when those services are necessary.
